Choices is an established IP that has been around since 2016 and holds a 4.5 rating on both app stores. It’s a visual novel platform that releases books monthly. Over the time I worked at Pixelberry Studios, I worked on over 12 releases such as The Nanny Affair 3, Guinevere, The Billionaire’s Baby, and Dirty Little Secrets. Each of these I was producing for a team of QA, writers, and artists and I saw these books from concept to completion and live operations.

As a producer, I worked on 2 content teams each working on 3 projects in different stages of production. I led daily stand ups, managed the full schedule, communicated concerns and production bottlenecks to leadership along with suggesting solutions for those concerns.

Applications I used included Google Suite (Spreadsheets & Scripting primarily), Cornerstone (revision control), Tableau, and Atom. In addition to producing for content teams, I investigated, fixed, and deployed the backlog of bugs and closed out 75% of them. I led competitor analysis, helping our teams understand release schedules, trending genres, and how it could inform our development.

Using scripts, I created several automation tools to make other producers and my teams’ lives easier. One of note is a spreadsheet which scraped 10+ other spreadsheets for tasks relating to a specific role. This allowed floating team members to view their upcoming workload without looking at several different project sheets.
