i need help is a small and polished interactive poem about the difficulty of asking for help. This game specifically explores the difficulty within one’s academic, social, and emotional aspects. It focuses on using Twine’s text functions in a transformative way, and experiments with displaying text over a delayed period to create suspense and anxiety in the player. Patterns in narrative games inspired the inclusion of “my brain” throughout the story. As the player progresses, they move through a series of text styles which makes it stand out more.
